Mercati. It features the classic heraldic eagle, which is a symbol of freedom. The eagle appears behind the US national shield, holding a banner in its beak, with the words “E pluribus unum” and in its talons, olive branch and arrows, as a sign of prestige and strength. Above the heraldic eagle, in a triangular formation, thirteen five-pointed stars represent the Thirteen Colonies.
