I was not expecting a brand new bar but I also was not expecting a bar that was turning quite like the one I received was. For the price of the bar I could buy something I may enjoy a little more.

I purchased 10 of these bars, and 8 of them have black spots, about 1 cm in diameter or less. From what I understand, this has something to do with oxidation. Two of the bars were in great condition. I think this might have a negative impact if I choose to resell…

Vintage pieces. The 3 I ordered (to sample before I order more) were not toned or in bad shape as others have suggested. I was expecting the worse. Obviously not new… but that was explained and expected. And if they were a toned or little beat up, so what? They’re Engelhard!! Bars with lots of character and historical silver symbology. There’s a story told in every one of them.

I Bought 4 of these and have 9 more coming. 3 Of the 4 were the same. There is wear and that was what I expected. 2 bars had all the way across this fantastic rainbow about a half a centimeter on the bottom of the rectangle. Very cool

All I can say is WOW!!! Ordered 2 of these bars and wish I would have ordered several more. As soon as they are back in stock….they are mine!!! These bars are not perfect, but not bad for a bar that’s over 40 years old. Way to go, APMEX!!!

These bars are from the 80’s so condition issues are to be expected. One was mint condition and one was really bad on the obverse. Not toning but damage. Some gold or copper like substance. Still over all was pleased with the purchase.

I bought one of the “any design” Englehards and was pleasantly surprised when a wide 5 digit frosted back arrived! Apmex delivers once again
